Casa Hiraya started as a shared dream between friends — friends who all once wore the badge of Airbnb employees, learning the ins and outs of travel, hospitality, and what it truly means to feel at home, even when you're miles away.

But before any of that, we were just a bunch of kids who didn’t travel much. Vacations felt like a luxury — something other people did. Growing up, our world was local, our escapes few and far between. So when we joined Airbnb back in 2017, something inside us cracked open. We discovered a new way to see the world — one that was more affordable, more human, and more accessible. And from that moment, a seed was planted.
